SNSA Terms and Conditions

1. Participation

Participation in skateboarding activities is entirely voluntary. By attending sessions, participants acknowledge that skateboarding is an action sport involving inherent risks of injury. Sessions may take place at third-party venues and participants attend at their own risk.

2. Safety Equipment

Helmets must be worn at all times during coaching sessions. If you provide your own helmet, it must be a helmet suitable for skateboarding or BMX use; cycling helmets will not be accepted as adequate head protection. Helmets must be properly fitted and fastened. Additional protective equipment is strongly recommended.

3. Participant Responsibility

Participants must follow all instructions given by coaches and behave in a manner that does not put themselves or others at unnecessary risk. Participants must wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for skateboarding. Open-toed footwear, Crocs-style shoes, sandals, or similar footwear will not be permitted.

4.Health & Medical Conditions

Participants (or parents/guardians) must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or circumstances that may affect participation. In the event of an emergency, SNSA may seek appropriate medical assistance where necessary.

5. Children

Participants under 18 years old require parent or guardian consent before participating. Parents or guardians remain responsible for participants before sessions begin and immediately after sessions end unless otherwise agreed.

6. Payments & Bookings

Sessions must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed. Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of SNSA.

If participants are unable to attend a scheduled session, they should notify SNSA as soon as possible. SNSA will make reasonable attempts to rearrange missed sessions at a mutually agreeable time where possible.

Where SNSA cancels a session, participants will be offered either a rearranged session or refund.

7. Cancellations

Cancellation policy:

More than 48 hours notice: full refund or rearrangement

Less than 48 hours notice: no refund unless exceptional circumstances apply

8. Weather & Venue Changes

Outdoor skateboarding sessions may be cancelled, postponed, shortened, or moved due to weather, safety concerns, or venue availability at any time. SNSA is not responsible for travel costs or other expenses incurred due to cancellations or changes.

9. Liability

While reasonable steps are taken to maintain a safe environment, participants take part at their own risk.

Participants are responsible for their own equipment and belongings. SNSA accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

SNSA accepts no liability for injuries, accidents, loss, or damage except where required by law. Nothing within these terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

10. Photography & Media

Photos or videos may occasionally be taken for promotional purposes unless participants or parents/guardians notify SNSA in writing beforehand.

11. Right to Refuse Participation

SNSA reserves the right to refuse participation where behaviour creates safety concerns for participants, staff, or others using the venue.
